Free · in your browser · two players on one screen
A platform fighter whose whole roster comes from this site. Thirteen games, thirteen fighters, and each one plays like the game it came from.
There is no health bar. Every hit you take raises your strain, and the higher your strain the further the next hit sends you — so a fight is not about grinding somebody down, it is about building them up and then finding the one hit that puts them past the edge. Three lives each. Last one standing takes it.
Nobody is a reskin
The point of a roster like this is that a fighter should feel like the thing it came from, not simply borrow its name and a colour. So each kit is built out of the mechanic its own game is actually about.
| RUNNER Clean Run | Dashes once per jump — and a wall gives it back, exactly as it does in Clean Run. Fastest thing on the stage. |
| GRID Cold Start | Charges power and hits harder for it. Let the charge run past full and the grid trips, and it is you that is stunned. |
| FIVE Daily Five | Throws letters. Every one that lands turns green, and once four are green the next strike is a word. |
| ODDS Even Odds | Takes an upgrade — and hands two to the other fighter. The rule that game is built on, pointed at you. |
| GRADE Gun Grade | Every shot that lands raises the grade, and the grade is the damage. Lose a life and it goes back to bronze. |
| CIRCUIT Iron Circuit | Copies the last special the other fighter used, and gets to use it once. |
| PAGE Last Page | Eight cards, each one spent for good when it is played. When the deck is out, it is out. |
| MAT Open Mat | A grip that goes through a guard, and a throw at the end of it. You have to be right on top of them. |
| COMMANDER Shadowmon Soldiers | Places a soldier that walks forward and hits what it reaches. Two at a time — and they can be knocked out. |
| MAGE Spellwright | Casts what you were holding: a bolt, a nova if you hold up, a ward that pins them if you hold down. |
| SWISH Swish | Pull it back, let it go. The ball comes off the stage and keeps hitting. |
| VALET Tight Spot | Reverses hard into whatever is behind it. Heaviest fighter in the game and the hardest to send off. |
| HUNTER Shadowmon Hunters | Break the armour first, then take them: a breaker worth almost nothing until the guard is gone, and a great deal afterwards. |
Strain, not health
Hits do not kill. They raise the number under your name, and that number multiplies how far the next hit throws you. At nothing you barely move. At two hundred a clean strike puts you across the screen. Which means a round can turn on one read at any point, and a fighter who is losing badly is also a fighter who is one mistake away from taking the round back.
Guarding costs you: hold it and it wears down, and if it breaks you are open and stunned. There is no way to just sit there.
Two players, one keyboard
Two people share one keyboard — A/D/W/S with F, G, H, V on one side and the arrow keys with 1, 2, 3, 0 on the other — or one person takes the arcade ladder and fights five of the roster, each one harder than the last. Controllers work in both, and so does a phone.
Common questions

Yes. One player uses A, D, W and S with F, G, H and V; the other uses the arrow keys with 1, 2, 3 and 0. Two controllers work as well.
Every game on Free Arcade sends one. Each fighter plays like the game it came from rather than simply sharing its name — the table above says how.
Knock the other fighter off the stage. Hits raise their strain, and the higher the strain the further the next hit sends them. Three lives each.
Yes. Plug one in and press a button. The left stick moves, A jumps, and the face and shoulder buttons carry jab, strike, special and guard.
Yes, with on-screen controls. A tablet or a laptop is easier if two of you are playing.
There is no blood and nothing to buy. It is on our schools page with the rest of them.
